In 2019, Owens-Klotz retired early from the Village of Orland Park where she oversaw the community's public relations and marketing for more than 30 years. She returned to the classroom that same year and has been teaching public speaking and marketing at Chicago area colleges and universities.
It is the atmosphere that Owens-Klotz creates that makes people comfortable, confident and well-prepared speakers – both for one-on-one communication and group presentations. With each group she addresses, Owens-Klotz tells participants that hers is the most important class they will ever take and the attendees quickly learn why.
Marjorie Owens-Klotz, M.A., has served as a speech writer, public speaking coach and adjunct communication and marketing professor for more than 20 years.
She has worked closely with people from all fields -- elected officials, sales personnel, media staffers, government employees, administrators, teachers, students, first responders, professional organizations and more.
